WASP Carabooda – 10 Nov 2019

Another great day out gel-blasting.  WASP Carabooda is probably the biggest area we play on in the Perth area and being the former amusement park “Dizzy Lamb”, it’s absolutely huge and varied.

There are plenty of maps with bunkers and various cover, great for Capture The Flag or King of the Hill as well as the Go-Kart track that has some great indoor/outdoor CQB style action with various vehicles for cover/objective as well.

The Tunnel map is smaller but offers some hilly terrain diversity and the opportunity for the claustrophobic among us to freak out in the darkened tunnel under the bridge whilst trying to steal the other team’s ammo box.

The Castle offered unique gameplay with a wide-open, nearly-barren, field offering virtually no cover.  Two lives for Castle Attackers and only one for Defenders made this an extremely tactical map.  No run-and-gun here, you needed a plan!

All up, a full and involved gameday with great weather and even some birthday cake for our resident shutterbug (credit: John Markham for nearly all photos).
